As Aurora stepped out of the elevator, she muttered to herself, "It's over. There's no point fighting for him anymore since his heart belongs to his wife. I'm not foolish enough to chase after someone who's clearly already moved on. That's a dead end."
"Aurora," her manager's voice crackled sharply on the phone, "you can't be this naive. In this industry, without a powerful backer, you're done.
"You have to hold on to Samuel! Even the biggest stars have support behind them. Don't act all high and mighty. When your fame fades, no one will care about you!"
Aurora couldn't argue with her manager's brutal logic. She slipped out of the apartment complex, keeping her head down, wearing an oversized hat and mask, as well as clothes she wouldn't be caught dead in normally. She rushed into the waiting car by the curb.
