The next day, Julien brought Shelmaine home to meet his parents.

Julien kissed her forehead and said, "From now on, we'll be the happiest couple."

Once they arrived and Shelmaine saw Julien's parents, her nervousness was obvious. While this wasn't her first marriage, it was her first time meeting a partner's parents. It was a different kind of anxiety—a fear of disappointing them.
