CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FOUR – A GUIDE TO STALKING
As the first rays of sunlight began to peek through her curtains, Nia stepped back to survey her work. The board was a chaotic mess of papers, photos, and string, but to her, it was a roadmap to the truth. She knew she was onto something, even if she couldn't quite piece it all together yet.
Exhausted but wired from caffeine and determination, Nia collapsed onto her couch. Her last thought before drifting into a restless sleep was that she needed to know more about Jason Morrow. And there was only one way to do that.
The next morning, Nia found herself huddled in her car, parked across the street from Jason Morrow's apartment building. She'd called in sick to work, ignoring the concerned tone in Harold Bates' voice as she faked a cough. Now, as she sipped lukewarm coffee from a thermos, Nia wondered if she had finally lost her mind.
"This is insane," she muttered, checking her watch for the tenth time in as many minutes. "What am I even doing here?"
