CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY SEVEN – WORLD OF THE OCEANS
Suddenly, a monstrous wave rose up, towering over the yacht. Time seemed to slow as Nia watched in horror. The wave slammed into the ship, sending a violent shudder through the entire vessel. Passengers screamed, clinging to whatever they could grab.
Leon, caught off guard by the impact, lost his footing. Nia saw his eyes widen in shock as he stumbled backwards. In a heartbeat, he was airborne, his arms pinwheeling as he toppled over the railing.
"Leon!" Nia's scream was lost in the cacophony of the storm.
Without a second thought, Nia sprinted towards the spot where Leon had fallen. Her mind raced, memories flashing before her eyes – their first meeting, their happiest moments, their recent arguments. None of it mattered now.
As she reached the railing, Nia caught sight of Leon in the churning waters below. He was struggling against the waves, his head barely visible above the foam.
Nia didn't hesitate. Taking a deep breath, she dove into the raging sea.
