CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY TWO – PARTY TIME ON THE BOAT
Kathy nodded approvingly. "Smart move. Harold Bates is a great boss, even if he can be a bit... intense sometimes. But you'll learn to read his moods pretty quickly."
Their food arrived, and Nia had to admit the panini was indeed delicious. As they ate, the conversation flowed easily between them.
"So, do you have any hobbies outside of work?" Kathy asked, dabbing her mouth with a napkin.
Nia smiled. "I love to read, actually. Historical fiction, mostly. And I've been trying to get into yoga, though I'm not very flexible yet."
Kathy's eyes lit up. "No way! I go to this amazing yoga studio near Rittenhouse Square. You should join me sometime."
"That would be great," Nia said, surprised by how much she meant it. It had been a while since she'd made a new friend.
As they finished their lunch, Kathy checked her phone and gasped. "Oh! I almost forgot to ask. My boyfriend is having a party on his yacht this weekend. You should totally come!"
