"Figures," Laurel's gaze turned fierce, "I was wondering why you'd care so much about a secretary's office. Turns out it belongs to your fiancée!"
Cecil remained indifferent, "So what if it does?"
"Doesn't stop you from leaving, does it?"
"You!" Laurel's cheeks flushed with anger.
For years, she had clung to their childhood bond, believing Cecil felt the same. Yet, the man she yearned for showed no mercy.
"What else do you want?" Cecil disliked being stared at like this.
Laurel paused, shook her head with a look of utmost grievance, and said, "I'll leave first."
With that, she walked out of Ivy's office.
Cecil, we have a long way to go.
Meanwhile, Ivy had reached the company's ground floor and pulled out her car keys. Once inside her car, her frustration grew, culminating in a punch to the steering wheel.
