But without solid evidence, there wasn't much she could do. Yvonne and Sandra had found someone to pretend to be the person who had placed the advertisement, and that was the end of it.
"Whoever knew your test scores is likely someone close to you. You should be more careful," Laura reminded.
Wendy was sure her relatives wouldn't do something like this, which led her to suspect Xyla. The day Xyla had come over to the Sadler residence with her swollen face, Wendy had felt that something was off. Xyla didn't seem as sweet and simple as she appeared to be.
The sharp ringing of the phone interrupted their conversation. Laura went to the living room to answer it.
