Alexia felt a flood of disappointment rise in her heart, but she wasn't shocked. After all, she knew what type of person Hailey was.
With a mocking smile, she said, "Just admit that you don't know. Stop acting all mysterious. Even if you told me, I wouldn't believe you."
"Believe it or not, I don't care."
Hailey arched an eyebrow and warned, "When we go out later, make sure to tell Mr. Reed Senior that you're not feeling well and can't perform the opening dance with Mr. Reed."
Alexia ignored her.
Furious, Hailey stepped on her dress. "I'm talking to you!"
Alexia continued to ignore her and looked around the room. "Why do I feel like a fly is buzzing around? It's so noisy."
"Keep talking now. When the time comes, I'll make sure you're the one crying and begging at my feet." Hailey gritted her teeth.
