Luna still hadn’t woken up. It had been hours—too many hours.
I sat by her bedside, brushing her hair with my fingers, her small frame pale against the white sheets. Machines beeped steadily around her, a harsh reminder she was still here, just... not here.
A doctor finally came in, clipboard in hand, face unreadable.
I stood up. “Doctor?”
He gave a soft sigh. “Mrs. Moore… your daughter is in a coma.”
