••• Kyson’s POV ••• “Kyson, don't you notice?” Night asked. “Yeah, I noticed it.” It looked like there was something helping Lucas. My attacks couldn't even hit his body. Could it be.. I glanced at our mate from the corner of my eyes. She was moving her hands around as if she was the one blocking the attacks. Naughty little mate.. I smirked. “She’s able to manipulate Witch Lily’s protective spells?” Night asked in disbelief and wonder. “It seems like it.” I continued attacking Lucas, and they were all stopped just a few inches away from him until suddenly, I managed to hit him. I took a quick glance at our mate again and saw her talking with Witch Lily. “Aleena, concentrate!” I mindlinked her to make sure that it was really her doing. She turned her attention back to us, and I began attacking Lycas earnestly while she moved her hands again, and the same thing happened. It felt like I was hitting an invisible shield. I looked at Lucas and gestured for him to stop, and he nodded in under
