The phone rang again as Terence got into the car and answered it.
"Weren't we supposed to go on a blind date tonight? Why did you stand the woman up?" Richard's voice was stern, and his frustration was palpable even through the phone.
Terence fastened his seatbelt, his voice calm and cool. "I had work to handle. And I didn't stand her up. I called her in advance."
Richard wasn't convinced. "You told her half an hour before the date that you weren't coming. How is that not standing her up?"
"I'm just not interested in blind dates," Terence said bluntly. "With the year-end approaching, work's hectic. Please stop arranging these things for me."
"Are you not interested in blind dates, or do you have someone in your heart?" Richard's words hit the mark, as he had already noticed something.
