“Nothing,” I replied and Satomi’s smirk turned into a smile.
“Well, sorry to burst your bubble because that’s not going to happen. Important people don’t go missing and get found dead. That’s a trait of you lower-ranking vermin, so you should be more worried about yourself,” she said and my brows snapped together. It seemed like that reaction delighted her because her smile widened.
“Stop,” Josie said, frowning at Satomi who in turn raised a brow at her. “You’re being mean.”
“I’m mean to everyone.”
“That’s not true.” Josie's frown deepened and she got to her feet before proceeding to pull me away from the table Satomi and her friends were sitting at while Lydia followed us. “Sorry about Satomi,” she said when we were several meters away from their table and I couldn't help but frown as Satomi’s words echoed in my head.
“What she said now… Is that true?”
“About being mean to everyone?”
“No. The–” I came to a stop, making Josie do the same before she turned to face me.
