(Amber's POV) I didn't expect this to go this way either, Ryan's tone was so full of anger I felt like he was going to tear me apart right away. But it seems like I've really found something on him, he doesn't dare to neglect me in front of the King, that proves that at least on the surface we're a loving couple, and that's a godsend for me. I also quickly put on a smile full of happiness and replied, "Of course, it's our honor. It's all thanks to you, honey." His breath hitched at the sound of my transgressive name calling. I could feel that he was getting pissed off. It was nice, whatever it took, at least I'd won a round. And the King and his wife were pleased with this cozy picture of a meal that was ostensibly conducted in unparalleled harmony.
