CHAPTER 129 THE FORESHADOWING
MINERVA
I zoomed through the usual routes I took on my daily runs, trying to make it back to the Silverwood territory before the darkness fell upon me. I would have left earlier, but I had been too exhausted to do anything throughout the whole day. Just as two lightning streaks and a loud crack appeared, I turned to look up at the rapidly darkening clouds! "That's strange," I muttered,. because it was completely unusual for it to rain during the autumn. Perhaps the weather was just being dramatic. I had barely finished the thought when cold drops began to spray down upon the earth, rapidly increasing in torrents and muddying the ground of the terrain.
I increased my speed, and that turned out to be a big mistake because I soon found myself sliding to prevent myself from hitting the ground. I couldn't seem to stop sliding even when I had fixed my balance; it was almost as if a force was shoving me straight ahead at full speed, completely deviating from the main route back to my house.
