"Ouch." As a sharp pain coursed through my arm, the word escaped my mouth. I had just bumped into someone—it was not just anyone; actually, it was Elias.
"Oh, I didn't see you there.” He said that when he looked up, he was staring at his dirty shoes.
"It's okay; we both bumped into one another." I let out a weird smile.
"Right, I gotta go. Sorry once again." He rushed out the words and was out of my sight before I could say, 'Jack.'
To think of it, he has been acting really strange these past few days; it's almost like he's never there whenever anyone is talking to him.
I noticed that they have to either nudge him or call his name repeatedly before he gives his full attention.
With one last glance at the direction he just ran in, I went my own way, too. I needed to tell Dominic something, and I've been searching for him for some time now.
As fate would have it, I encountered him within a short distance, and his demeanour was anything but amicable.
“What's wrong?" I ask
