Levi settled into that comfortable armchair in the therapist's office, enjoying the light silence between them.
“Are you comfortable, Mr. Rodríguez?”
He looked up, and their eyes met. He nodded. “Yahweh can start now.”
“Very well then.” She gave him a warm smile as she picked up a notepad from the coffee table between them and clicked on her pen before settling back into her seat.
“You may call me Dahlia,” she said as she lowered her gaze to scribble something in the note, then glanced up again.
“Tell me about everything that's been disturbing your mind,” she said in a soothing voice, her kind eyes meeting his again as she waited.
Levi took a deep breath before starting. “It's just…I feel like everything's falling apart in my life. You know,…I have this condition….I can't remember faces.”
“Alzheimer's?” Dahlia asked, her pen poised over the book, and he shook his head.
“Prosopagnosia.”
Her eyebrows knitted together as she wrote that down.
