Chapter 134: More Things To Worry About
After Levi left the mansion, he sat in his car for almost an hour, just shaking from the recent discovery of his grandfather’s illness. It was too sudden, completely opposite of what he’d hoped for. He knew that Rocco wouldn’t be alive forever, but it was too sudden.
Levi was still too attached; he needed Rocco. Without his grandfather’s love and support all these years, he’d probably be lost.
He couldn’t take it, and whenever he tried to imagine life without Rocco, he sobbed. A while later, he comforted himself and drove back home. He was going to try everything possible to help Grandfather. He couldn’t die just like that.
When he got home, Eleanor was in the living room, watching a TV series with a bag of chips next to her. She looked up at him and smiled. “You were gone for longer than I imagined you’d be.”
