Chapter 124: Imminent Peril
Giselle stared into the distance at the shimmering lights, her body tensing as she attempted to veer off course. But Nathan’s firm grasp forced her back.
“Neither of you brothers are any good,” she spat, anger flaring. “Just devils, obsessed with curtailing the freedom of others.”
Her fist fell, a feeble attempt that barely grazed him.
Inhaling the briny sweetness of the sea air, her consciousness waned, the last thing she heard a soothing, “Don’t worry, you’re about to leave this place.”

Giselle struggled to sit up, feeling as if she’d been twisted and crushed, her body aching with soreness.
The remnants of the sea’s saltiness clung to her nostrils as she slowly stood up.
