Chapter 43

　　All I needed to do was wait for Sergio's message. 　　I packed my luggage. I didn't plan to take much stuff with me. 　　I had a suitcase I had brought from my pack. I put several T-shirts and pairs of jeans in it. I also remember taking the necklace my mother had left me from the drawer. I put it on the table so that I wouldn't forget about it. 　　When I was packing my clothes, I saw the canal blue dress at the bottom of the closet. It reminded me of that unhappy experience. But it was also a precious gift from Pedro, the only gift I had from him. I meant that it was the only present that Pedro had chosen for me. 　　I thought of bringing it with me. But later, I put it back into the closet. Since I had decided to leave and cut off all the contacts, this remembrance would be unnecessary.
