Since Timothy found that Alyssa was pregnant, he has had hospital staff constantly update him on her condition. Sebastian felt a sudden jolt in his chest. "What happened?" "I'm not entirely sure. I went to the hospital today, and the doctor told me that Alyssa had died." Those words hit Sebastian like a lightning bolt. Alyssa had died? How could that be possible? She was perfectly fine just last night! Sebastian shot up from his seat, the room spinning as dizziness set in. "What exactly happened?" "The doctor said Alyssa was admitted into hospital last night, but she didn't make it through the night. She died despite their efforts." Without another word, Sebastian grabbed his jacket from where it had been carelessly tossed and rushed out the door, heading straight for the hospital with his car. On the drive there, Alyssa's words from the night before echoed relentlessly in his mind. "Mr. Gray, I want to ask… if I died, would you be sad?" For some reason, his chest tightened wi
