Jack Power flooded through me. I didn’t give a damn that I was still naked. I’d given myself over to enjoying every ounce of my mate I could until the last second. And that time was now. Nicholas gave me a look as I ran by. The others would take their places. The neat little soldiers falling in rows according to Nicholas’s designs. But not me. I had my own plans. My bare feet slammed against the floors. I pushed more of the energy flooding through me, jumping from muscle to muscle like I was alive with electricity. They were at the front doors. How many was it? I couldn’t use Paxton’s powers to great effect as the others. To me it was just a mindless mob of dots outside, daring to come into my house and take my toys away. And I wasn’t about to let that happen. I bounced on the balls of my feet. Should I run out to greet them? Or let them come to me? The element of surprise would be greater if I went to them, but I’d also be throwing the doors open to our enemies. I considered the ramif
