Was Genevieve wrong?
Harper was terrified out of her mind, yet Tristan still wouldn't relent.
It was clear just how stubborn he was.
If he treated Harper like this, how much worse would he be with her?
In any case, he wasn't good for her—at least not in the way she hoped.
The snake coiled around Tristan's calf and slowly slithered upward, reaching his knee.
His face turned even paler.
Genevieve glanced at him indifferently before turning to walk away.
"Stop!" he finally yelled in a fit of rage.
Genevieve smiled and turned back to face him. "So, will you let me join the Shont Corporation construction site now?"
"You..." Tristan gasped, his voice trembling. "First, get these disgusting things... get them out of here."
"No. You have to first agree to let me onto the site."
"Genevieve Gadot!" He clenched his teeth, his anger making his temple throb.
If it weren't for these snakes seemingly paralyzing him with fear, he would have charged at her and strangled her by now.
