Emma leaned back in her office chair, her eyes shimmering with confidence. She had unwavering faith in Desmond's promises. His assurances, coupled with the steadfast support of her older brothers, left her without a worry.
Jada burst into the office, barely containing her excitement, her eyes glinting with mischief. She waved her phone in front of Emma, who looked back, puzzled.
“Come on, don’t play coy with me, Emma. Look at this! Desmond’s making his move. We all see how he's head over heels for you. You've been so hung up on Alex all these years, and look where that's led you. It's time for a change, don’t you think?" Jada nudged Emma playfully, nodding towards Desmond's message on the screen.
Emma sighed, her gaze lingering on Jada’s bright eyes. “You’re reading too much into it, Jada. He's just a friend. And about Alex... well, that chapter’s closed.”
Jada frowned, “Closed? That’s an understatement! He treated you like dirt, and you're just letting it slide?”
