CHAPTER FOURTEEN:: A SIGHT OF HER!

~George~ Work at the office was quite hectic and overwhelming so I had to get home late coupled with the challenging traffic jam that had held me up alongside other cars on the road. The sitting room was empty as usual and I proceeded to the room to check on Mae. This time I found her sleeping peacefully on the bed with her innocent look. For the first time in weeks, I realized how beautiful she was. “Hey..” her eyes suddenly flew open, catching my fixed gaze on her. I chuckled, realizing she wasn't even sleeping. “Playing pranks huh..” I said, rolling my eyes before sitting on the bed and taking off my shoes. “I’m not. I wanted to sleep but the baby wouldn't let me do so in peace” she replied and I scoffed, turning back to her with a look she immediately understood “What? I'm not lying” she looked away immediately and I was forced to let out a chuckle. “Seriously?, It's not even a human yet, it's still a foetus” I said and she bit her lower lip. “Whatever” she rolled her eyes
