Pierce’s POV
“PIERCE!”
I gritted my teeth and turned to mom. She’s crying again as she tries to stop me. She’s been caging me here in her house for three weeks even when I clearly told her that I need to leave and find Kelly. I need to find her. For God’s sake, we got into an accident and we fell into a river. We were drowning and I couldn’t do anything to save her.
“I need to find her, mom!”
She shook her head and sobbed. “S-Son, she’s gone.”
“What do you mean she’s gone? I survived, mom. She’s alive too!”
“We found her body last week, Pierce. You saw the body with your own eyes.”
“NO!” I shouted and grabbed my hair. “That’s not her, mom! That’s not her!”
“Then who was it? You saw her face. It was her!”
“IT’S NOT HER!” I shouted again and fell on my knees. I felt tears streaming down my face as I felt my heart ripping apart.
Mom ran to me and wrapped her arms around me, comforting me. That’s when I lost it. I started crying painfully in her arms as I continued grabbing my hair, blamin
