Bethany forced a smile. "Grandpa, actually I… don't really like Trystan that much."
She almost said she didn't like him at all, but she couldn't deceive George or herself.
"Look at the mirror and tell me if you think I'll believe what you just said," George replied with a look of concern.
Tears sprang to Bethany's eyes. She quickly turned away and wiped her face.
"It's true, Grandpa. He's not worth it," she insisted.
George sighed, his heart aching. Unable to remain standing, he decided to sit on the edge of the bed.
Trystan had a brother, but he lived overseas. As a result, only Trystan had grown up under George's care.
Perhaps George was to blame if Trystan wasn't worthy of Bethany. However, he believed that Trystan was a good man.
