Bethany sniffed and shook her head. As soon as she turned around, tears started flowing down her cheeks like a waterfall.
So this was what it felt like to have a chunk of her heart ripped out.
She walked away briskly without turning back. She was never going to turn back again.
Trystan stood in place, watching Bethany's figure grow smaller and eventually disappear.
He suddenly chuckled and turned to look at Elijah. "What is she doing? It's not like we're never going to meet again."
Elijah was surprised to hear that Trystan sounded a bit choked up.
He was too scared to say anything, but he could tell from Bethany's back figure that she was leaving for good.
She really didn't want Trystan anymore.
When they returned to the car, Trystan said he wanted to eat. He felt empty, and he guessed it was because he was hungry.
Elijah tried asking, "Do you want me to contact Ms. Reyes?"
"No need. She left in such a hurry just now. She's probably busy," Trystan replied.
