"A little," Jenny lied as she feigned hunger and rubbed her stomach to make a point. "We'll order new dishes then. My treat," Bethany offered, rising to her feet to call for the waiter. "Oh, don't let this food go to waste," Jenny said. She quickly grabbed her fork and helped herself to the food. "I can't afford to waste food now that I have half a million dollars to pay back. You can't, either." Not that Jenny had touched the money Sawyer had given her save for the portion she used up for her mother's medical treatment. Bethany took her seat once more. She had lost her appetite since coming here, so she watched Jenny eat. Jenny took small bites at first, but when she started shoving spoonfuls of food into her mouth, her tears fell past her cheeks. She willed herself not to sob as she continued eating. "Slow down, Jenny," Bethany urged, choking back her tears. "Sorry.
