Trystan kept his mouth shut.
"It's because you know it's wrong, and I won't agree," Bianca spoke for him.
"Mom, I'm sorry," Trystan said and hung his head.
"You don't have to apologize to me. Your grandpa came back safe today. If anything had happened to him—" Bianca stopped and sighed deeply before adding, "Apologizing won't change anything."
"You've grown up." She glanced out the window and continued, "You have your own ideas now and hate to listen to me anymore. But remember how you reached where you are today."
Trystan kept his head down, standing tall with a clear sign of defiance.
Bianca understood Trystan's personality well enough to know when to give him space. At least for now, she still had some influence over him.
