Bethany hadn't expected Bianca to ask for a private meeting. They agreed to meet at a café near the airport—Bethany was there to pick someone up, and Bianca was preparing to leave.
"I'm leaving Sunville," Bianca mentioned as she sat, sensing the animosity Bethany was giving off. She chuckled awkwardly, then added, "I know you've regained your memory. You probably hate me now. I hope the news of me leaving makes things a little better for you."
"You're thinking too much about it," Bethany replied expressionlessly. "Whether you stay in Sunville or leave doesn't affect me. And, as I promised before, I'll be leaving soon, too."
Bianca paused. For the first time, she actually felt a twinge of fear facing Bethany.
"You don't have to go," Bianca said hastily. "I'm sorry for everything that happened before. If possible, I hope… you and Trys can build a good life together."
