Bethany could tell from Noah's response that he was probably a victim, too. Her agitation grew stronger by the second.
"Noah…" she said carefully, "there's something I need to talk to you about, privately."
He frowned, clearly torn. "What's this about?"
Bethany bit her lip, lowering her voice. "It's about Robert's traditional painting classes."
Noah's face paled even more, and he tensed up. "You're not actually considering sending your kid there, are you? Who are you?"
"I…" Bethany hesitated, trying to find the right words.
"Sorry, I don't know anything. I've got somewhere to be." Noah turned to leave.
"Noah…" She hurried after him. "I lied earlier. I'm not planning to send my kid there…"
He quickened his pace. "Go away. I'll call security if you keep following me."
Bethany panicked, her voice quivering as tears started to rise. "Noah, listen. My son… He's already been to Robert's classes."
Noah stopped dead in his tracks and turned to face her, stunned.
