He looked down at her. ‘Why are you sitting down? Let’s go.’
‘You can go if you want. I’m not leaving!’

‘Don’t yell at me!’ Kira glared at him. ‘I’m not leaving!’

‘Can you at least tell me why?’
He’d rather not waste time playing the guessing game.

Kira crossed her arms. ‘I just don’t want to walk. My feet hurt.’
The vein in Austyn’s forehead twitched. ‘You are wearing flats. How can your feet still hurt?’
