After hesitating for a while, Irene parked her car on the side of the road and walked toward the little tiger. The apocalypse was going to be boring, so having this little creature by her side would not be such a bad idea. Besides, it was a tiger! A lethal animal! The lethal tiger was crying in pain. When Irene approached it, its fur stood on end, and it snarled at her. Irene took out a piece of jerky from her pocket and knelt down to hand it to the cub. “Here.” The cub stared at her for a while, but it could not resist the smell of jerky, so it bit the jerky and tried to run away. After taking just one step, it fell to the ground and howled in pain. Irene noticed that it had blood all over its body, but she did not know how badly it was hurt. She tried to reach out and stroke its back. The cub either knew that Irene was not going to hurt it or was confused by the pain, so it looked back at her and slowly passed out. “Are you going to save it?” Jenny’s voice came from behind. Irene touched the little animal in her arms and asked Jenny, “Can it be saved?” Jenny nodded. “It’s not a big problem.” Irene felt relieved. “I have a military-grade first aid kit in my car.” Jenny was very good. She immediately picked up two wooden sticks and sat in Irene’s Hummer to skillfully fix the cub’s bones. It took nearly half an hour for a minor operation that Jenny said was not a big problem. By the time the cub was bandaged, many people had already returned from the supermarket. Jenny was almost out of food, so she was quite restless about buying groceries at the supermarket. She cautiously asked Irene, “Miss, are you still going to the supermarket?” Although Irene was just pretending to go to the supermarket, Jenny was held up because of her, so she could not be that heartless to her. Irene was speechless. “Aren’t you going to buy some flour?” “I don’t have a pot at home, and I don’t know how to cook. Celestial Gardens was built on top of a mountain, and it overlooked most of the city, so it was also known as the Garden on the Clouds. Irene was driving past a corner on the mountainside when she caught a glimpse of a row of caltrops, but before she could react, her car had already driven over the nails. Her car was specially modified to be very durable, but Jenny’s Ferrari was not so lucky. She heard a few loud booms of tires exploding. Jenny frantically spun her steering wheel and managed to stop her car from falling off a cliff. A few gaudy-looking men jumped out of dark bushes with long knives, and they quickly surrounded the Ferrari with creepy smiles. One of them jumped on the hood of the car and slashed the windshield of the Ferrari. “Hand over all your money!” Jenny had only seen little of this world, so she was frightened by the scene in front of her. She looked at the man’s evil grin with red eyes as she took out her purse and handed it to the man standing by the car door. When the man took the wallet, his eyes lit up when he saw Jenny, so he grabbed her hand and said to the people behind him, “This girl is quite pretty. We haven’t had sex in a long time, so tonight we can…” Irene was not going to make an appearance, but the man’s words ticked her off. The others agreed to what he said, so they reached into the car to open the door and drag Jenny down. Jenny was so frightened that she burst into tears. “This is a law-based society. What your doing is illegal. I’ll call the police to arrest you!” “Hahaha, you’re funny.” The leader forcefully pulled Jenny out of the car and pointed to the surveillance cameras around them. “We’ve already dismantled the cameras around here, so who’s going to arrest me when there’s no evidence…” Before he could finish speaking, a knife pierced through his back. The man’s face twisted in pain. He turned his head around in disbelief to see a woman in black standing in front of him. Irene took the opportunity to twist his neck and push him to the edge of the cliff. Then, she swiftly drew out the knife in the dark and slashed his neck before kicking him off the cliff. The remaining men clenched their long knives and looked at each other in dismay. They were so focused on the Ferrari that they did not pay attention to whether the Hummer had left. They were so busy with the robbery that they did not even notice that Irene had gotten out of the car and was lurking beside them. Jenny rubbed her sore arm and quickly got up from the ground. She tugged at Irene’s arm. “Irene, let’s run.” “You want to run after hurting my friend? That won’t be easy!” The few men looked at each other with violent eyes and raised their knives as they rushed toward Irene. Irene spun the switchblade in her hand and bit her lower lip as she fearlessly stepped forward. After more than two months of training, she was curious to see how explosive she could be. When a man was swinging his knife at her, she nimbly dodged it and stabbed her switchblade straight into his heart. She had practiced martial arts since she was a child, and she just returned from an apocalypse. Everything she had learned up to this point could kill someone with one single blow. She held the knife tightly and twisted the blade in his chest before kicking him off the cliff to destroy his corpse. Another person came up to her, and she finished him off with just two or three moves. After realizing that they were all bad at fighting, Irene was relieved. The remaining man trembled with fright after seeing Irene stabbing and kicking his people off the cliff. Clang! He threw away the long knife in his hand. “You… You killed people! I’m going to call the police to have you arrested!” Irene wiped off the blood on her sleeves and strode over to him, “What a bummer. You guys removed the surveillance, so who can catch me?” She clapped back at the guy with his own words. She stood in front of the man and bent down to grab him before dragging him to the edge of the cliff like a dead animal. She slit his throat and threw him off the cliff too. She turned around and met Jenny’s frightened eyes, Holding the long knife that she had picked up at some point, Jenny subconsciously stepped back. Irene squinted and gripped her switchblade tightly.
