Chapter 23

　　Derek's POV 　　While dealing with the pack stuff in my office, I got a mind-link from the pack guards. 　　Turned out Tabitha wanted to leave the pack, but they stopped her. 　　What would be her next move? Better behave herself. 　　Just as I was lost in thought, my wolf caught her scent. 　　Bet she had no idea how alluring her scent was. The smell of gardenia mixed with berries emanating from her was like a love potion for me and Leo. 　　Then I heard her footsteps. She just passed by my office. Why didn't she come in? What was she up to? 　　Soon, her steps halted not far off. 　　As expected, she headed to the records room. 　　Enraged, I closed the file I was reading and strode out of the office. 　　She was so engrossed in her reading that she didn't hear my footsteps at all. When I spoke, she fell to the ground, panicked and startled. The files were scattered all over the place. 　　Although we hadn't divorced, she shouldn't be doing such things. 　　She knew better than anyone how much I hated it.
