Chapter 162: The Heart is Dead
"Daniel, do you have any conscience? Who abandoned whom? Who was the one who said to leave yesterday?" Katrina's eyes turned red. This man was really good at shifting the blame.
"I never thought of abandoning you. I was just angry that you didn't care about me at all and said that to me," Daniel quickly denied.
Katrina didn't want to continue arguing with him about this. "Forget it, it's meaningless to talk about it now, let's just leave it at that."
With that said, Katrina shook off Daniel's hand and limped out of his office. The pain in her lower body tortured her with every step.
Daniel certainly wouldn't just let her leave like that. He knew that if he let her go today, he might not see Katrina again tomorrow.
"I'll take you home," Daniel said, catching up with Katrina not far away. In front of many employees, he carried her out of the company and all the way to the car.
