Chapter 01 Unexpected mate

On the middle of the noon, I woke up in the grassland behind where my pack is. It is wide, peaceful, but the most important thing is that it is my secret place- where no one can find me. Well, except her. “Jamie, I know I can find you here!” I recognize that penetrating voice. It can’t be anyone but my friend - Sandy Samuel. “Sandy, why are you in here, don’t you have a party to go with my brother James?” “Oh, don’t care about that. I haven’t seen you, like , whole day. I can’t find you anywhere, so I thought you must be here.” “Yeah, I just need a moment.” I lower my head. Sandy see right through me right away. “ Were they mean to you again?” “You mean which “they” ”? As the weakest female werewolf in my pack, I’ve basically been bullied everyday. Not like any werewolf, my wolf side never controls my body,or I never let her. Actually, she is with me all the time. Or you could say, she is in me all the time.Her name is Kay. And she is a brutal,cruel and dark wolf. She’s been delivering me many evil thoughts every time I am angry. Gladly, I have enough power to control her. “OK, Jamie, let’s go shopping, you know, shopping for healing.” Sandy always know how to cheer me up. I don’t know what I could do without her. Bibidibabidibu- boutique is always our favorite cloth shop. I’ve been dreaming of that I can change my outfit to become pretty just like Cinderella. But I can’t. Cinderella can be pretty because she is pretty. I am not, because I am skinny, pale and don’t have a fairy god mother. “Jamie, try this one, it definitely will look good on you.” It is a beautiful blue dress. I tried it on,but I just like a 9 year-old girl who is wearing her mommy’s gown. “Little girl stole her mom’s cloth.” “Look at her, her chest is as flat as my grandma’s ironing board” I know those mean words. I heard them everyday. And I know whose mouth they are from. “Mind your own business, Tim!” Sandy yelled. I am afraid. I am always not confident about my figure. “Up your head, let’s see how stupid you are.” Tim and his buds tease me. I feel Kay want to control my body. “ Let me give him a lesson” Kay whispered. “I can’t. Kay.” As I refused Kay as usual. I heard a voice. “ She is the weakest in our pack.I don’t know how she could live like this.” It’s Kenneth. He is the hottest, strongest in our pack. I think he could even be the alpha of pack someday. But he is still mean to me just like anyone else. I looked up at him. Although I look up him many times. But this time I felt different. I felt a heat from inside, from Kay. It’s like I want Kenneth so much! And I felt Kenneth different, too. He lower his head, looking anxious. Clear, we both felt something. I motioned Sandy to leave through our mind. It is a special feature of werewolf. The members from the same pack can communicate with our mind. “Did you feel something there?” I asked Sandy. “What? Oh yes, they are mean, those bastard!” “No, I mean Kenneth. Did you think he act weird?” “I didn’t pay attention to him. What? Did you feel something?” “ I don’t know. I felt differently. I know Kenneth for very long time. But I never feel like today. When I look at him, I felt I want him, and I felt Kay want to control me. Especially, I felt so hot.” “Wait, My parents told me that they have this feeling when they found they are ma..” Sandy answered. “Mate? You mean mate? The other half the Moon Goddess choose for me?” There is a tradition in werewolf. The Moon Goddess would choose our mate for us. It is unchangeable. The pair who is mean to be couple will be together for the rest of their life.
