CHAPTER 18: SAVING THE KIDS
AUTHOR'S POV
She stared at the radar with a smile. Radar's eyes welled up in tears as he saw the woman he regarded as his aunt.
“Aunty–”
“ Sssh. It's okay, Radar. Don't cry. Look, I'm here to save you.” She grinned and wiped the tears that dropped from the boy's eyes.
“What of Uncle Zane? Isn't he here with you?” Radar asked, his voice filled with hope.
“He isn't here, but I promise you, he's on his way. Now I want you to do something for me, okay?” Reina spoke softly and also gestured for him to reduce his voice.
“What is it?” He asked and leaned his body closer to Reina, as far as it could go.
“Don't tell anyone that you saw me, okay? If you do, Uncle and Aunty won't be able to come save you and your sister.”
Radar nodded vigorously; he wasn't about to rat his aunt and uncle out. He was already tired of being tied to a chair. His butt was aching, and yesterday, Abigail had cried herself to sleep because she missed her mom.
“How's Mummy?" Radar asked.
