Evelyn listened quietly from inside the room. She didn't want to pry, but her curiosity was overwhelming, and the unease in her heart kept growing. Jasper's voice grew tense. "When did you come back? Tell them you're with me. They won't dare to touch you. Wait for me. I'm coming right now." The curtains were drawn back as Jasper walked in from the balcony.
