The group arrived at Veilstone Cliff. Since Jasper was still dealing with business matters, he asked Evelyn and the others to accompany Alonso up the mountain first. He promised to join them later. There was an opportunity to change into proper hiking gear in the rest area, but Madelyn insisted on keeping her stilettos on and started the ascent with Alonso.
