My leg was still in a cast, pinned with steel screws. I had no choice but to lie back down on the bed. Outside, voices rose, each shout louder than the last.
"Logan, what do you mean by keeping my wife from me?" It was Elijah's voice.
Logan's tone was calm and cutting, "Elijah, she's not your wife anymore. My legal team filed for divorce with the court over two weeks ago."

"You think you can tell me if I still have a relationship with her? What are you to her? Until the court says we're divorced, she's my wife, and I'm her husband."
