Julianna wanted the kids to interact with Elvis to foster a connection between them, but she was not going to force them together if they did not like him. Nancy and Herman began to speculate about the nature of Elvis's relationship with them. Julianna never allowed anyone who was not related to them to join them on their outings. Since she was letting Elvis join them now, that probably meant that he was somehow important to their mother. "Of course! Mr. Elvis, can you come with me on the swinging ship?" Nancy grew excited at the thought of the swinging ship because she was a thrill seeker. She wanted to experience the ride and see how it felt. Elvis thought about it carefully. He remembered that the ride had age restrictions, and the kids were too young. They would not be allowed to ride it. "I'm afraid not. You’re both too young for the swinging ship ride. But there are other rides you can enjoy. I can take you on the carousel," Elvis said to Nancy. However, he noticed both Nan
