Just as Emma was reviewing some documents, the internal line rang.
She picked up the phone. "What is it?"
"Ms. Dyer, Ms. Davila is here to see you. She says she won't leave unless you come down to meet her."

Emma's expression darkened. Were those two taking turns to bother her now? She had already seen herself out of that complicated relationship. Why wouldn't they just let her go?
A dull pain spread in her chest like a cold blade grinding against her heart. But perhaps… this was an opportunity to end things once and for all.
She answered in a low voice, "Got it."
Then, she stood up and headed downstairs. When she arrived, she found Lea sitting casually in the lobby's waiting area. She was fully covered—wearing sunglasses and a face mask.
