As soon as Emma finished speaking, the conference room fell into a brief silence.
But it wasn't long before someone scoffed. "Miss, people should stick to jobs that match their skills. You think you're qualified to be the executive CEO? What a joke. Since when did Summerton Group start hiring people based on their appearance? I think you'd be better off at the front desk."
His tone was filled with ridicule, making Emma sound utterly incompetent.
"Front desk? No way. If the higher-ups at Summerton Group found out, they'd be heartbroken," another man chimed in.
