Pearl took a deep breath; now was not the time to blame the supervisor. She looked around and saw that the floor was very clean. It looked like no one had come in.
"Did the person wear shoe covers when they came in?"
The supervisor nodded quickly. "If nothing was messed up, that must be why. There's no dust on the floor when we walk in."
Pearl crouched down to take a closer look. The floor wasn't completely clean. There was some dust in the corner, and it looked like someone had cleaned it on purpose.
Pearl noticed this and stood up. She asked calmly, "How often do you clean this place?"
The supervisor was surprised by the question and paused. "We clean it twice a day. Once in the morning when we get here and again at night before we leave."
