It was dawn; the clouds were gray and it soon started to drizzle. Henry was leaning in his chair to take a nap. The ashtray beside him was filled with cigarette butts.
Angel, in the room, shouted, “Mommy.”
Then, she was awakened from her dreams. She looked around the room with her hollow eyes. It was big and empty. She wiped the tears at the corners of her eyes with the back of her hand and searched for her phone. It was placed at the side of the bed, and there was a blanket over her. Angel picked up her phone and called Mommy again. It was still turned off. She climbed out of bed and walked out of the room. The servant was still at her door. She looked at the time and said, “Young Lady, it’s still early. You can sleep a little longer.”
