Thus, Melina knocked on the door, and once again, it was Alfred, the butler with the insincere smile, who received her at the door.
He looked rather pleased to see her. "You're here, Ms. Crawford. Do come in."
"I had nothing else to do, so I came a little early today," Melina said somewhat sheepishly.
"Not at all. It's alright."
Alfred wouldn't consider it too early at all, not when Dante had taken the initiative to ask about her yesterday. He'd been shocked beyond words at the time, for it was the first time that Dante expressed his willingness to interact with an outsider.
If he'd known that Dante would feel this way about Melina, he would've crossed out the part in the contract that gave Melina the weekends off.
Had Melina arrived any later, Dante might have torn the house down by then.
While Melina felt puzzled by Alfred's attitude, she didn't think much of it. Once again, she was brought to the same room as before. This time, when she entered the room, she kept her guard up
