Seth's expression darkened. "So, she doesn't care about my life?"
Sean wanted to say that there was no reason for Layla to care about him. He never cared about her back then anyway. But he wisely kept those words to himself. Instead, he smiled and reassured, "Maybe she has to take care of Daisy. That's why she left early."
