"Evan, there's something I want to discuss with you," Mavis said, her eyes flashing with determination. "You need to focus on recovery, but the company needs someone to run it. So, I'm thinking of returning to Vraeyce for a while."
Evan had been considering the company's situation as well. Having Mavis go back to handle things personally was the best solution. Plus, her leaving meant she would be farther from Nathaniel.
It seemed like a win-win.
"Alright," Evan agreed without hesitation, always giving her his full trust and support. "I'd go with you if I could move, but I'll have to rely on you now."
"While I'm gone, I'll hire some security to ensure your safety. After all, the National Investigation Bureau hasn't identified who kidnapped you yet," Mavis explained thoughtfully.
