CHAPTER 97: THE UNTOLD PAST
As Dahlia and Shirley continued their game, they learned more about each other. Shirley felt like she had missed out on a lot of fun. Here she was, excited with her newfound friend.
"I wish my childhood weren't so sulky," Shirley said.
"What do you mean?" Dahlia asked with a tone of curiosity.
"I never got out; I was neglected. My peers found me weird because I couldn't wolf out when I got to the age. I hated myself for the way I was. My parents didn't make it any better, as they had to force me every full moon to wolf out, but I never did," Shirley said, her eyes sunken deep below with her head bent.
"It sounds like my childhood, if you're asking," Dahlia chipped in.
"You look so fun; I wouldn't believe you had a childhood as strange as mine. I mean, I haven't been free with anyone as I have with you, just in a couple of hours," Shirley said, her expression filled with familiar doubt.
