CHAPTER 87: WITCH BLOOD
Shirley woke up to find herself in Drakon's arms. He was in his human form, though his eyes were still tinted with those magical hues as if he was mid-way into transforming. Shirley gasped and tried sucking in a deep breath. The metallic smell of blood made her choke and gag.
Drakon swiftly wiped the blood from her nose and cheek, then pulled her closer. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice cracking. This was one of the few times Shirley had seen her alpha husband get so worried.
She struggled and then found her voice. "I think so."
"Can you stand?" Drakon asked.
She pushed her legs against the ground, and Drakon helped her up. She nodded, though she was a little shaky. "I can stand, don't worry too much."
Dahlia came over. She had gone with the other wolves to check through the cave to ensure no other latent risks. She did a quick spell on Shirley when she came and nodded. "She's safe now."
